Fast-rising Ghanaian young star, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kweku Frimpong popularly known as Black Sherif, or Blackoo, takes Nigeria by storm after his successful collaboration with Burna Boy on “Second Sermon” remix.
The young Ghanaian star shared loads of stories about his growth, music and his journey as a man on the The midday Show with Do2dtun and Eve. Black Sherif explains the inspiration behind “Second Sermon” and how he got Burna Boy on the remix.
“The Second Sermon is my truth, more like a message to my people back home” he explains the struggle in his hometown “konogo Zongo” and how a bunch of youths crawled their way out to Accra which is the capital of Ghana, so the song is a message to his family and friends back home telling them he's fine because his people don't know how he's doing.
The artist also revealed the name of some Nigerian artists he will like to work with, “I just recorded a song with Wurld” he reveals.
Black sherif reintroduced himself as a seriously talented artist with his latest single “Kwaku The Traveller” which has been making waves both online and offline, the song is also a chart sensation, breaking into the Nigerian music industry, sitting on #1 Nigeria's apple Top 100 when it was released.
Black Sherif is definitely that talent to look out for, he's currently signed to international record label “Empire Records”.
