His interviewer also agrees that Africa is more than Afrobeats.

On July 6, 2021, a Nigerian superstar appeared in a video where he said that he would pick South African rapper, Nasty C, over almost any American rapper. The Superstar is Nigeria's Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy.

During the conversation, Burna Boy was keen to clarify to his interviewer that Africa is more than Afrobeats.

Deep into the interview, he said, "Yeah, everything is not Afrobeats. Nasty C is a rapper. And because he's from Africa now, you're going to say Afrobeats? Nah, he's a rapper. Brah, I'll put my money on Nasty C over almost any American rapper."

It's more like some Americans think all African musicians do is just Afrobeats. That's why Burna Boy's reply that everything is not Afrobeats go a long way to explain just how much talent Africa has when it comes to music.

His interviewer also agrees that Africa is more than Afrobeats.

Of course, it would be weird for Nasty C to be classed among Afrobeats singers from Africa. The interviewer also agrees that most Americans would quickly take Nasty C's rap as Afrobeats.

That's what got Burna.

Burna Boy's reply is a reaffirmation that African rappers are good at what they do.

Nasty C is a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has signed on to Def Jam Records, and has worked with some American rappers such as TI.
