Online Criticism: Ayra Starr Rebukes Detractors

Ayra Starr implored internet trolls to cease their harassment...

Renowned Nigerian vocalist, Ayra Starr, has voiced her distress regarding the bullying she faces on social media.

Articulating her exasperation on Monday morning, Ayra Starr implored internet trolls to cease their harassment and redirect their attention to more significant matters.

In a post on X, the singer articulated that her adversaries are intent on unfairly targeting her without justification, accusing them of perceiving her as a “scapegoat. ”

She stated, “There’s nothing I can do nor say to individuals that purposefully wish to bully and misconstrue me continually. You’ve identified a scapegoat, right? Concentrate on topics that genuinely matter and leave me tf alone.”

While the specific catalyst for the singer’s message remains ambiguous, Ayra Starr has routinely encountered criticism for her fashion selections, with many labeling her ensembles as provocative.

In April 2023, the ‘Rush’ artist responded to her critics during an interview with Kiss FM, London.

She remarked: “You are not my pastor, you are not Jesus, you are not my mother, so keep it to yourself. I don’t want to know. I don’t give a damn. ”

This remark ignited renewed discussion regarding freedom of expression, ethics, and celebrity attire in the public sphere.

Notwithstanding the backlash, the 23-year-old artist has continued to ascend in the industry, garnering nominations on international platforms and recently performing at the Coachella Music Festival in California.
