Nigerian Gospel Singer Receives Recognition by US Congress

A United States Congressional District in Texas has honored Nigerian gospel singer, Sinach with a certificate of recognition after performing at event in the state.

Sinach was awarded a certificate of recognition by the US Congress in Texas for 'Way Maker'.

She shared this news via her Instagram page on Tuesday, the 5th of October 2021.

She added a post from Business Day that reveals the following:

The Eighteenth Congressional District of Texas has conferred a certificate of recognition on Nigeria’s Osinachi Joseph Egbu popularly known as Sinach.

Sheila Jackson Lee, a US senator representing the Texas constituency who penned the recognition letter said it was in view of the artist’s using her music to propagate the gospel around the world and for conducting a successful concert in Houston, Texas over the weekend.

The singer was also recognized by the US Congress in Texas for a stellar performance during a previous concert held in Houston. 

The event was billed ‘Sinach: Night of Worship Houston Texas,’ and featured famous gospel singers such as Todd Dulaney, Micah Stampley, Dee Jones, and Da’dra Greathouse.
