The African Export-Import Bank has engaged in a strategic equity alliance with the Creative, Reality, Entertainment, Arts, and Music (C. R. E. A. M) Platform, a digital center for African creatives established by renowned Nigerian artist, Dapo Oyebanjo, commonly recognized as D’banj.
The agreement was formalized under the bank’s Creative Africa Nexus initiative, which seeks to bolster the continent’s creative and cultural sectors through investment, skill development, and international visibility.
D’banj disclosed the announcement via his verified Instagram account, @iambangalee, in a post observed by our correspondent on Saturday.
“I’m delighted to share that Afreximbank and the C. R. E. A. M platform have united in an equity arrangement through CANEX Creation Inc. This partnership represents a significant advancement in our mission to equip African creatives with the resources, financing, and global reach they merit. Content is the new crude! Oooosheeeeeeee,” he articulated.
The collaboration signifies a notable achievement for both Afreximbank and the C. R. E. A. M Platform, which was designed as a digital framework to uncover, cultivate, and promote creative talents while facilitating content monetization.
C. R. E. A. M provides an extensive range of services to emerging talents, encompassing opportunities to record premium quality music, produce standard videos, collaborate with artists, and gain exposure on reputable platforms. Its model is aimed at closing the gap between nascent creatives and the wider entertainment sector.
Through CANEX, Afreximbank is endeavoring to expand Africa’s creative industries globally by offering access to financing, trade facilitation, export enhancement, and digital innovation. The bank asserts that the creative economy is a driver of sustainable development and job creation across the continent.
