The news of his death was announced in the early hours of Friday by his wife, Latoya Ekemode. She said that Julius passed away in his sleep on Thursday night.
She revealed that her husband wasn't ill, and there was nothing to suggest he would die. "He only slept and died in his sleep."
Julius' death was also confirmed by a music promoter, Bimbo Esho.
According to her, she received a message that informed her of his passing.
