Super talented Nigerian Highlife duo widely known as “Cavemen” reacted to their recent nomination at the headies Awards.
The duo has been nominated for the “Best Alternative Song” category at the 15th edition of the Headies Award, which is set to happen on 4th September 2022 at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center In Atlanta, USA, the full list of the nominees was released on 24th of May.
The multi versatile music duo consisting of Benjamin James, a drummer, and Kingsley Okorie, a bassist, took to their Twitter page to react to the fact that they were nominated under the “Alternative” category which they feel doesn't interpret their sound “Highlife is not an alternative o” they tweeted.
Other Nigerian artists also reacted to this controversial nomination, including former Big Brother Naija winner, Laycon.
