The song is the first from the new comedy series
Top Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has released a new single titled, 'Ghana Jollof' featuring Nigeria's Falz, and Ghanaian singer, Kwabena Kwabena.
The song is to herald the launch of the highly anticipated "Showmax Original Ghana Jollof". Basketmouth along with his guests have cooked up the highlife-infused track ‘Ghana Jollof’ for the show. It is one of the highlighted official soundtracks to the show.
The song is the first from the new comedy series, which is produced by Basketmouth, Funnybone, and Akah Nnani. The two Nigerians were seen as looking for greener pastures in Ghana.
Shot on location in both Lagos and Accra, the new comedy series also stars comedian/actor Buchi and Uzor Arukwe, who appeared as dreaded criminal leader Knight in Sugar Rush.
Heartthrobs Mawuli Gavor (Chief Daddy) and James Gardiner, who presently stars in Ghana’s popular soap Dede, bring in the Ghanaian flavor to the show.
There’s also Jacinta Ocansey, the undisputed “Queen of Ghana Comedy,” Portia Freelove, model and actress Brihanna Kinte, veteran actor Jackson Albert Davies (Beasts of No Nation), actress Korkor Oyeba Mensah, and multi-award-winning comedian/actor Kalybos.
Duktor Sett, who also produced Basketmouth’s debut album, 'Yabasi', produced the track, while the video drops later today. Meanwhile, you can listen to the YouTube audio right here.
